Overview
Let's face it, money is usually a scary topic that isn't talked about too much - the "elephant in the room".
For this reason, I created "Bankaroo" that presents an App that functions as a virtual playground, where learning becomes an experiential adventure, different from what you know. The user can acquire extensive financial knowledge, while making various decisions. Every choice the user makes will lead to a different financial consequence, and thus, while making mistakes or successes - the user will learn about money in a varied way.
Finally, by dealing with different scenarios from everyday life, users will gain important skills that will enable them to live a better future financially in a reality where the cost of living is rising.

High Level Goals
Equip Israeli teenagers (16-18) with essential financial knowledge and skills to improve their financial literacy and future decision-making.
The Problem
Teenagers lack essential financial education, leaving them unprepared to navigate real-world financial decisions.
While money management is a crucial life skill, it is often overlooked in traditional education, creating a gap in financial literacy. As the cost of living continues to rise, young individuals struggle to make informed financial choices, impacting their future financial well-being.
What We Heard
It all started when people kept saying:
"I can’t find events that interest me, and even when I do, it’s hard to connect with others who share my passions"
Users are overwhelmed by irrelevant content, making it hard to find events that match their interests. Even when they do, forming genuine connections with like-minded people often feels intimidating or out of reach. This leaves many users frustrated, disconnected, and unsure where to turn for meaningful experiences.

The event details screen provides key information like the title, date, time, location, and description. Users can engage through a chat feature to coordinate with others, a team section for group activities, and a gallery to view and share event photos. These features ensure users stay informed, connected, and engaged throughout the event.


Responsive version
The responsive web app provides users with a seamless experience to browse events and connect with their communities. The interface features personalized recommendations, easy access to relevant categories, and a search function to discover events based on interests and location. Designed for flexibility, users can interact with their communities and explore events from any device, ensuring consistent engagement.

The chat feature helps users connect before, during, and after events. This dashboard provides users with a data-driven snapshot of their engagement on the platform. The interactive graph compares total events from this month versus last month, allowing users to track trends and growth. Below, key analytics such as profile views, groups joined, and active time offer deeper insights into user activity, highlighting changes with percentage indicators. These metrics help users stay informed about their interactions and overall engagement.

Through this project, I learned the importance of deeply understanding user behavior and preferences. Early competitor analysis and audience research ensured that every feature directly addressed users’ pain points, resulting in a platform that feels personalized and engaging.
